Peace in Ronda

The Puente Nuevo (the New Bridge) is undoubtedly the most impressive feature of this small sleepy town in Malaga Province, Spain.  It’s approximately 2.5 hours by train (RENFE) from Granada, and just under 2 hours from Malaga.  Day trips are doable as well with RENFE, the first train out of Granada being at around 7am and returning at around 5pm.

I recommend spending one night in town – there’s a serenity about the place that is hard to explain in words.  Make your way towards Plaza Ruedo Alameda for some food and drinks at the Bodega San Francisco.  Cheap and tasty.
